Metro Meals on Wheels (MMOW) recently received a $15,000 grant from General Mills to support our work in 2008. General Mills has been a generous contributor to MMOW since we began in 1997, and they also provide many volunteers for local Meals on Wheels programs in the Twin Cities.  We appreciate their on-going support of Metro Meals on Wheels!

Meals on Wheels Working to Increase Seniors’ Access to Healthy Foods

A nutritious diet is important, particularly for seniors, to avoid illness, recover from injury and live longer lives. That’s why Metro Meals on Wheels has partnered with Minnesota’s Nutritious Food Coalition, a statewide effort to increase participation in the state’s Food Support, formerly Food Stamp, program.
