MMOW's Golf Tournament a Success!
It was a beautiful day for Metro Meals on Wheels' first-ever Golf Tournament on Monday, September 15th at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury. Over 70 golfers enjoyed the challenging course, bid on a variety of silent auction items and helped us honor local Meals on Wheels volunteers and corporate partners. Plans for a bigger and better tournament in 2009 are already taking shape.
Metro Meals on Wheels thanks all those who participated in our golf tournament, our sponsors, and those who donated silent auction and raffle items and contest prizes for this event.

A nutritious diet is important, particularly for seniors, to avoid illness, recover from injury and live longer lives. That’s why Metro Meals on Wheels has partnered with Minnesota’s Nutritious Food Coalition, a statewide effort to increase participation in the state’s Food Support, formerly Food Stamp, program.
