How is Meals on Wheels set up in the metro area?

There are over 40 programs that operate individually. They have divided the metro area up geographically. MMOW is an umbrella organization that helps each of these programs reach their goals as well as represents Meals on Wheels in the Metro area as a whole.

How was MMOW created?

The programs created MMOW in 1997 to have an advocate, an organization that helped the programs communicate, to represent the programs on a larger scale and to provide services, materials and resources for the programs.
