In a fast-paced, no-holds-bar race against the clock, 150+ volunteers pack and ship 9,000 shelf-stable into 4,500 boxes to be delivered to Meals on Wheels recipients in the 7-county metro area. Each box contains food items that make up two nutritious meal options, in the event the regular meal delivery is interrupted due to Minnesota weather.

The Blitz will return in October 2010.
