Each program site gets their meals from a variety of places; most are from a hospital, school district, or nursing home where their program is located, or a caterer like Taher or Lettuce Cater.
On average, each meal costs between $3-6
Generally if someone is unable to purchase or prepare a nutritious meal, or they are elderly, homebound, or disabled, they qualify. There are no set standards

Most programs can accommodate different kinds of diets. For Kosher or Asian meals, there are specific programs that focus on those types of meals. There is also a program tha focuses on meals just for clients with ALS, breast cancer, and HIV?AIDS.
